Effective October 8, 2026

REQWRECK ("REQWRECK," "we," "us") sells lead lists to staffing and recruiting agencies. Each list shows employers in one metro area whose job postings have been open for a while, along with a hiring contact at that employer where we can find one. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. It covers our website at reqwreck.com, our lists, and the emails we send.

The short version: we collect what we need to sell and deliver lists. We don't sell our customers' information. The business contact details inside our lists come from public job postings and business data providers. If you're in one of our lists and want out, use our Remove me form and you'll be removed right away.

1. Information we collect

From customers and website visitors

  • Order details. When you check out, we collect your name, work email, agency name, the metro you picked and your plan.
  • Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. Stripe tells us whether a payment went through and gives us reference IDs, the amount, the billing email and your subscription status.
  • Your account. If you create an account, we store your email and your password. The password is kept only as a one-way hash, so nobody (including us) can read it. A cookie keeps you signed in.
  • Metro requests. If you ask us to cover a new metro, we collect the metro name and your email.
  • Emails. If you email us or reply to one of our emails, we keep that conversation.
  • Website usage. Our website records simple usage events: pages viewed, buttons clicked, metro and plan chosen, and whether checkout was started or completed. It also records the page address and the site that referred you. To connect these events, your browser stores a random ID in local storage. This ID doesn't identify you by name. We don't use advertising cookies or third-party analytics or ad trackers. Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs, such as IP address and browser type, for security and to keep the site running.

Business contact data in our lists

Our lists include information about employers and the people who hire for them. These people are usually not our customers. This information includes:

  • Job postings. Job title, employer, location, pay when posted, posting dates and a link to the posting. These come from job listing services such as Adzuna and from employers' public job pages on applicant tracking systems such as Greenhouse, Lever, SmartRecruiters and Ashby.
  • Hiring contacts. Name, job title, work email, and sometimes a work phone number or LinkedIn profile link. These come from business data providers (Apollo and Prospeo) and from the employer's own website. We also check whether a work email address can receive mail.

We use the same kinds of sources to find the business contact details of staffing agencies that we may email about our service.

2. How we use information

  • To build, deliver and support the lists you buy, including running a fresh scan of your metro when needed.
  • To process payments, renew Monthly Wreck subscriptions, and handle refunds and cancellations.
  • To send emails about your order, such as your list, receipts and service notices.
  • To email staffing agencies about REQWRECK. Every one of these emails includes our postal address and an easy way to opt out. Once someone opts out, we don't send them sales emails again.
  • To understand how people use our website and improve it.
  • To keep our service secure, prevent fraud and comply with the law.

We use an AI service (Anthropic's Claude) to help sort replies to our emails and draft responses. A person reviews those drafts, except for simple, routine replies, which may be sent automatically.

3. How we share information

We don't sell our customers' personal information. We share information only in these ways:

  • With our customers, as the product. The employer and hiring-contact information described above is delivered to the agencies that buy our lists, so they can reach those employers about staffing.
  • With service providers that run parts of our business for us: Stripe (payments), Railway (website and database hosting), Google (business email through Gmail; our website also loads fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google's servers), Anthropic (AI help with email), Apollo and Prospeo (business contact lookups), and Adzuna (job listings). They may use information only to provide their services, under their own terms and privacy policies.
  • For legal reasons. We share information when the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our users or the public.
  • If the business changes hands. In a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, information may transfer to the new owner, and this policy would continue to apply to it.

4. If you're listed as a hiring contact

If your name or work contact details appear in our lists and you'd rather they didn't, use our Remove me form, or email zhall4513@gmail.com with the subject "Remove me." Include your email address, your LinkedIn profile, or your full name and company. When we process a removal, we:

  • delete your contact details from our stored data and remove them from the lists we've saved;
  • add you to a permanent block list, so future scans and lists never include you again;
  • stop all email to that address from us.

Requests through the form are processed immediately. Emailed requests are processed as soon as we read them, usually within two business days. We can't recall lists that were already delivered to customers. You can also ask us what information we have about you.

5. How long we keep information

We keep customer and order records for as long as your account is active and as long as we need them for taxes, accounting and legal requirements. We keep opt-out and suppression records permanently, so we can keep honoring them. Job and contact data is refreshed with every scan, and older data is kept only as long as it's useful for the service.

6. Security

We use reasonable safeguards. All traffic uses encrypted connections (HTTPS). Payment card data is handled by Stripe, not by us. Our dashboard is password-protected. Order pages can only be opened with a private link, so treat that link like a password. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.

7. Your choices and rights

  • Marketing emails: reply to any of our emails asking us to stop, or use the opt-out it describes.
  • Access, correction and deletion: email us to ask for a copy of your information, or to correct or delete it. Depending on where you live, privacy laws may give you these rights and others. We'll answer within 45 days and may need to verify your request. We won't treat you differently for using your privacy rights.
  • Your browser: you can clear or block local storage. The website will still work.

8. Children

REQWRECK is a business service for adults. It isn't directed to children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

9. Changes

If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here and update the effective date. If the changes are significant, we'll tell customers by email.
